Somatopia – Creative Computing Through Inclusive Design

Somatopia – Creative Computing Through Inclusive Design

Dr Wendy Keay-Bright has received funding from the RaspberryPi Foundation for a new project that will generate computing modules using the RaspberryPi as a creative platform for inclusive, experimental artworks. The project will foreground participatory design methods, bringing novice developers together with potential beneficiaries, and will test the feasibility of Somatopia as a method for enriching the learner experience of inclusivity and accessibility in Human Computer Interaction (HCI). The outputs of this process are expected to be creative, experimental interfaces that can be scaled to suit any environment.
