Physicality 2007: Second International Workshop on Physicality
University of Lancaster, 2nd & 3rd September 2007In September 2007, members of DEPtH organised and ran the 2nd International Physicality Workshop, co-located with HCI 2007. The main objective of the DEPtH project (jointly funded by the AHRC and EPSRC through the Designing for the 21st Century programme) is to investigate the impact of physicality on product design - how humans experience, manipulate, react and reason about 'real' physical things, and how can this understanding inform the future design of innovative products. The project is run in conjunction with the University of Lancaster's Computing Department. Members of the sub-group working on this aspect of Programme for Advanced Interactive Prototype Research's activities are Steve Gill, Gareth Loudon and Jo Hare within PAIPR, in addition to Alan Dix and Devina Ramduny-Ellis at University of Lancaster. The conference proceedings can be downloaded from the Physicality 2007 website.
