Seminar 1 Tuesday, November 7 2006, 5-7pm, Room A19 John Russell (London-based artist and founding member Bank) will discuss recent performances and other projects such as Frozen Tears III. Seminar 3 Monday, November 27 2006, 1-3pm, Room A19 Ronald Jones (Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Konstfark, University College of Art, Craft and Design, Stockholm and is the Centre Director for the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship) will present recent projects.
Seminar 4 Thursday, November 30 2006, 5-7pm, Room G06 Raimi Gbadamosi (artist and writer) is an editorial advisor for Dialogue, an online magazine devoted to new writing about contemporary art. Raimi will speak about his recent projects and their relationship to the discourse on identity and race and will be available for tutorial meetings prior to the event. Seminar 5 Monday, December 4 2006, 5-7pm, Room A19 Mark Nash (Head of Department of Curating Contemporary Art, Royal College of Art) and Isaac Julien (artist and filmmaker) will talk about recent projects.
Seminar 6 Monday, December 11 2006, 5-7pm, Room A19 Vanalyne Green (University of Leeds) will be using the canonical text "Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema" by Laura Mulvey to discuss the memoirs, histories and a film related to the life and work of Maryse Holder: art critic, scholar and self-described "feminist dropout".
