AVPhD Regional Workshop, South Wales and South West England, 2008

Postgraduate students and academics from all disciplines interested in how practice is used for research are invited to participate in a two-day conference. AVPhD - the AHRC-funded support network for PhDs in Audio-Visual Media will hold a regional workshop at University of Wales, Newport's Caerleon Campus.

The workshop will focus on what might be distinctive about media practice research and how to create an academic environment to foster innovative research practice. What kind of work can be addressed through AVPhD? Who is it for? And how can it be distinctive from work pursued in the industry or in other parts of the academy?
