International Film School, Wales

One of the oldest film schools in the UK, the International Film School Wales (IFSW) is the leading institution for the promotion and development of the film and performance culture of Wales through high-level education, research and training, and celebrated 40 years of quality filmmaking in 2006.

Our work includes film drama, documentary, animation, performance, screenwriting and computer games. There are also postgraduate opportunities in Film and Animation. We draw on a wide pool of creative and innovative educators and practitioners from Wales and beyond. Visiting Professor and Oscar-nominated director Ken Russell works regularly with our students, and recent visitors include Mike Leigh, Kevin MacDonald and Bill Plimpton.
